Henry Drive to Fort Riley’s
Main Post closed Sept. 6, 2005 due to reconstruction
of two bridges located on the road.
Vehicle Registration
The vehicle registration office
has moved to the 12th Street Gate. Traffic is
rerouted to other gates in order to gain entry
to the installation. Soldiers, families and civilians
will no longer be able to obtain vehicle registration
24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Deliveries
Deliveries and heavy truck traffic
remain unchanged and continue to use Exit 303
to K-18 Highway to the 12th Street Gate. Any deliveries
going to arshall Army Air Field will be inspected
manually at Marshall Army Air Field.
Gate Information
--Visitors can get day passes
at the Ogden, Henry and Trooper Gates, which will
remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
--Grant Gate will be open from
5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
--Department of Defense vehicles
only can enter through Estes and Rifle Gates,
5 - 9:30 am and 3 – 6 p.m.
--12th Street Gate will be open
from 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. and visitors can
obtain passes during this time.
--Vehicle registration is available
from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday
at 12th Street Gate.
--Marshall Army Air Field will
be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for
residents and employees living and working there.
The entrance gate will be along Marshall Drive.
Welcome Center Under Development
The Military Affairs office and Junction
City Area Chamber of Commerce are developing a
Welcome Center that will be hosted at the chamber
office on Washington St. The Welcome Center will
have information from community organizations
and agencies, along with Army Community Services
publications.
For people who are visiting the area and do not
have access to the Internet, the Welcome Center
will have two computers available to browse our
Web site.
