October 23 - BG Perry Wiggins
1st Infantry Division & Fort Riley
Commanding General

Mission
To establish a continued amicable liaison between the military and civilian communities of Fort Riley and Junction City by exchanging information and or creating a feeling of mutual understanding and congeniality through social interactivity.

History
Founded in 1991, the Lady Troopers Organization is a standing committee of the Old Trooper Regiment Inc., made up of women in the Junction City area. Our goal is to provide friendship, support and goodwill for the military families of Fort Riley.

We offer communication and support assistance to the wives of commanding officers at Fort Riley. By doing this, it allows the wives to make that information available to the families within the commands. We offer information about where to shop, school information, churches and anything else that may be helpful.

The Lady Troopers also host ‘Canteen’ events for deployments and redeployments at Fort Riley. Lady Troopers are ready night or day, laden with homemade goodies and kind words to help send or welcome back our brave men and women from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Donations of cookies, coffee, tea, cocoa, etc. for the Canteen events can be dropped off at the Military Affairs Council, 814 N. Washington St., Junction City.

For more information or to join The Lady Troopers of Junction City please contact the Military Affairs Council at (785) 239-1270.
