Irwin
Army Community Hospital
The new hospital was dedicated on February 7,
1958 and named Irwin Army Hospital in honor of
Brigadier General Bernard John Dowling Irwin "
The Fighting Doctor" who won the Congressional
Medal of Honor for distinguished gallantry in
action during an engagement with the Chiricahua
Indians near Apache Pass Arizona in February 1861.

The health
department offers immunizations for children,
TB testing, communicable disease monitoring, paternity
testing, blood pressure checks, school and sports
physicals, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, sexually
transmitted disease testing and treatment, well
women clinic, child care licensing and registration,
Mother and Infant Program, Teen Pregnancy Case
Management, WIC (Women, Infants and Children),
prenatal classes and general health education
programs. Services are provided on a sliding
fee scale.

JCYC is aimed at providing low-cost medical care
to children between the ages of 0 and 19.
They offer minor illness care, healthy start program,
school and sports physicals and family planning
services and counseling to children and adolescents
under 19. Cost is a sliding fee scale.
Teen
Pregnancy Case Management is a program
to assist adolescent girls under the age of 19
who become pregnant to complete their education.

Konza
Prairie Community Health Center
Konza Prairie Community Health Center (KPCHC)
is a federally qualified health care center that
serves Junction City and surrounding commuities.
KPCHC accepts most health insurance and offers
a sliding fee scale to make health care affordable
and accessible to anyone, with or without insurance.
Phones are answered 24 hours a day and walk-ins
are welcome. Comprehensive primary care, mental
health therapy and other services are available.
