Milford Nature Center
Kansas Dept. of Wildlife & Parks
Situated below Milford Lake in the Flint Hills
of Kansas, the Milford Nature Center is designed
to give visitors a better understanding of and
appreciation for the natural communities in Kansas.
Visitors have the opportunity to see and touch
many native animal furs, print their own animal
tracks, and discover hidden wonders. A walk through
the nature center reveals that Kansas has an astonishing
abundance and variety of wildlife because of the
many different kinds of habitat found here.

Konza
Prairie
Konza Prairie Biological Station
is a 3,487 hectare native tallgrass prairie preserve
owned by The Nature Conservancy and Kansas State
University and operated as a field research station
by the K-State Division of Biology.Visitor Information
Konza Prairie is a biological research station
with limited facilities for visitors.
Nature trails -- 14 miles of
hiking trails are
open daily from dawn until dusk, weather and trail
conditions permitting. The trails begin at the
parking areanear the main entrance. Pets are not
permitted. Group tours of the Konza Prairie are
available only by appointment.
Permits and Reservations --
With the exception of the marked nature trails,
access to all other areas of the station for research
or educational uses is by written permit only.
